Quinta das Uvas - named after the old vine which takes centre stage in the private courtyard garden - has been sympathetically restored and retains many traditional features such as floors of hand made clay tiles and wooden windows and shutters. | |
| But tradition is one thing - comfort another - and we have ensured that you can enjoy your holiday without the inconveniences of a past life. Hot
water is heated constantly and feeds modern high pressure showers. Fans keep you cool in summer - although the thick walls do that job effectively - and wood burning log burners ensure that winters are cosy and dry. |
Modern but traditionally styled sofas, which double as beds when required, add colour and comfort to the cosy lounge, furnished with an eye for character and the old Moorish style. Each of the two bedrooms has en-suite facilities. Fly screens on all windows. |

Satellite tv, cd players, games and books are all provided and the cottage has telephone points in all rooms. If your laptop travels with you to allow you to keep in touch with friends and business then you can simply plug in and log on at any time. |

The vine takes centre stage in the beautifully renovated courtyard. 'Uva'
in Portuguese means 'grape'.
The barbecue has been built with original bricks taken from the dismantled
bread oven which is now Casa do Forno, a 1 bedroom cottage occupied by
the British owners.
Far
right: The courtyard setting offers complete privacy with 7ft wooden
lockable gate.
The cottage for rent is on the right and the other cottage is occupied
by the working owner couple.

| TARIFF 2006 | The prices below are for the rental of the 2 bedroom cottage - Casa Velha. As many of our clients are couples we have adjusted our rates to make the property as attractive to them as a one bed apartment in a busy resort would be. Please
note that the working owners of the property now live in the adjacent
1 bedroom cottage and share the terrace in the evening and at weekends.
The price of the accommodation has been adjusted to reflect the above. Please also note that we have two friendly cats - so no cat-haters please! (They won't come near you unless you want them to.) |
